Born and raised in the Netherlands and of Ghanian descent, Kwabena's mixed media approach to storytelling is immersive. He goes beyond capturing the subject, portraying its energy, memory and connection to the worlds that created him. Intimate portraits of culture and identity tell a deeply personal and evocative story, showing rituals of brotherhood and expressions of heritage.
His impactful documentary style led to collaborations with Bianca Saunders, FOMU Foto Museum Antwerp and 070 shake.
