Poppy Cockburn
Content Editor
Poppy is Creative Blood’s resident grammar purist, working across editorial content. A self-confessed art and culture lover with a background in creative communications and PR, she's worked across visual art, music and placemaking at cultural institutions from the Serpentine to the Barbican.
On the side, she channels her creative energies into writing and publishing poems that explore psychology in the social media age, and keeps a photo diary of the Margate sky.
My hype song is...Strange Overtones by Brian Eno and David Byrne.
I overcome creative block by...writing in pink felt tip.
One of my all-time favourite film scenes is...in True Romance. That bit between Christopher Walken and Dennis Hopper's characters is *chef's kiss*
My favourite spot in London is...Abney Park Cemetery. I love rambling around in there, looking at all the old gravestones.
My dream dinner party guest would be...without a doubt John Waters. I'd make him eggs.
If I could live anywhere else in world, I'd live...somewhere hot. Mexico maybe.

"My friends took me to this place. The staff were lovely and the whole vibe is relaxed and friendly. The food is delicious and even though it's 'small' plates the portions are generous, plus the hibiscus cocktail is a beaut!"

"This book is like no other poetry theory book I've read and considers the strange act of poetry between its pages – from reflections on the relationship between poets and the moon, to explaining why feelings are different from emotions"
